Carol Bryan (Producer and Director) conceived, created and implemented DanceFest sixteen years ago. DanceFest has developed into an annual Dance Festival, presented at the Palace Theatre in Stamford. Carol served as the Coordinator of Special Events at Stamford Center for the Arts from 2002 - 2006. In 2006 she was appointed Director of Education for the Palace Theatre and has been in that role ever since. She was the Director of the Dance School at the JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, NY for five years, and served on the faculty of the Stamford City Ballet School from 1987 - 1996. Her teaching and coaching experience spans over forty years, training dancers in private schools, academies, colleges and regional dance companies. Her professional performing career was with American Ballet Theatre in New York and as a guest artist with regional companies throughout the US. She was trained at the School of American Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet School and the American Ballet Theatre School.
Dan Stahl (Principal Stage Manager) has been working as a Freelance Stage Manager for dance and live events for the last 10 years. After receiving his Bachelors Degree from Purchase College, he kicked off his career in the field of Production Management at the New York City Center. Some of his credits include time with American Ballet Theater and Stage Manager for Burklyn Ballet Theatre. Within the last 3 years, Dan has shifted his focus and joined the FDNY as an Emergency Medical Technician. Dan continues to freelance as a stage manager in his free time.
Scott Borowka (Lighting Designer) is a BFA graduate of the Design/Technology program at Purchase College. Previous lighting designs include the Off-Broadway satire “Bush Wars” at Actors Playhouse and “Opa!” an original Greek musical at Queens Theatre in the Park. Other theatre companies that Scott has designed for are Curtain Call Theatre, Gallery Players, Monomoy Theatre, City Lights Youth Theatre, New York Stage Originals, The HARTT School of Music, Stonybrook Opera, and The Walnut Hill Summer Theatre Intensive. At Symphony Space in New York City, Scott has designed The Nutcracker for Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory. As Lighting Director, Scott has travelled the world with both Pilobolus Dance Theatre and The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Currently, Scott teaches Stage Craft and Theatre Workshop at Greenwich High School.
